Code REDD’s Kate Dillon Levin will speak at an event hosted by the World Forest Foundation and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin on March 20, 2014. The event will convene private sector and climate change mitigation leaders to promote private-sector led forest protection and reforestation activities.

The event will promote best practices and discuss key challenges for private sector leadership in forest conservation and reforestation. Participants will highlight the opportunities and benefits of private sector engagement, with pioneering leaders presenting their achievements and summarizing their learnings.

Kate will present on “The Business Case for Investing in Forests.” Other speakers discussing private sector engagement in REDD+ include Forest Carbon Group, Althelia Climate Fund, IUCN Netherlands, and more.
