Kering

Sustainable clothing and brands

A world leader in apparel and accessories, Kering develops an ensemble of powerful Luxury and Sport & Lifestyle brands: Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni, Christopher Kane, McQ, Stella McCartney, Tomas Maier, Sergio Rossi, Boucheron, Dodo, Girard-Perregaux, JeanRichard, Pomellato, Qeelin, Puma, Volcom, Cobra, Electric and Tretorn.

By ‘empowering imagination’ in the fullest sense, Kering encourages its brands to reach their potential, in the most sustainable manner. Present in more than 120 countries, the Group generated revenues of €9.7 billion in 2013 and had 31,000 employees at year end. The Kering (previously PPR) share is listed on Euronext Paris (FR 0000121485, KER.PA, KER.FP).

Kering offsets its residual greenhouse gas emissions annually, in line with its 2016 targets. Consequently, in 2013, it offset the 115,000 tonnes of CO2 corresponding to the remaining 2012 emissions of the Luxury and Sport & Lifestyle activities and its registered office, thus achieving the carbon neutrality target set in Scopes 1 and 2 of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. To do this, Kering acquired carbon credits from Wildlife Works.

Kering has been a shareholder of Wildlife Works since spring 2012, via which it supports a leading REDD offset project in Kenya. In its role as a leading corporate stakeholder in combatting climate change, Kering also contributed to fifth anniversary events of the UN-REDD at the 67th General Assembly of the United Nations. Across the Group, the brands also develop their own carbon-offset initiatives.
