Code REDD’s goal is to support and scale REDD+, ensuring that the highest quality REDD+ projects  are recognized as the standard for how REDD+ is done well. We require the following of Code REDD projects:

• Developers adhere to BOTH of the best third party international standards for REDD available today, VCS and CCB, to ensure that Code REDD approved projects have demonstrated the highest quality of carbon accounting AND community and stakeholder benefit sharing
• Developers have agreed to abide by our Code of Conduct that go beyond the published standards to ensure integrity of the people and companies behind the projects
• Corporate Members are also required to abide by our Code of Conduct
